The Lea Valley Friends is a group of people who enjoy walking both in the countryside and the town.  All our walks are circular unless otherwise stated, and are of two to two and half hours duration (approximately four miles).

If you are new to walking, you are welcome to just turn up and join us on three of our walks to see if you like what we offer before we ask you to join the Ramblers.

To become a member contact  the Ramblers www.ramblers.org.uk for a membership application form with instructions on how to join.  This form has to be sent to the Ramblers Headquarters, where, they will allocate you to your local group signified by your post code.  If you want to join a group specializing in shorter more leisurely walks please specify “Lea Valley Friends” as your group.  Once you have joined the Ramblers our Membership Secretary will be informed and you will receive our Walks' Programme three times a year.

In addition to the satisfaction of supporting the work of the Ramblers, membership entitles you to receive the following

· Walk Magazine - a quarterly magazine packed with information, book reviews, stunning photography and exciting features by renowned writers

· Walk Britain - the Ramblers annual handbook which includes maps, photographs, contact details and accommodation listings, many of which are discounted
